Before

Harness along the backbone above the head, left side. Spark plug cap and the connector bundle.
Same area from slightly behind, showing where the harness dives under the tank mount.
Harness and connectors at the front of the backbone: the ignition coil mount and the bundle of bullet connectors.
Closer on the connectors behind the steering head. Note which colors pair up before unplugging.
Cable ties and routing along the backbone near the top shock mount. The harness runs under the frame gusset here.
Ignition coil on its bracket on the frame downtube, plug wire exiting downward.
Connector cluster at the coil: cream two-pin and the black relay box. Pink, green and black wires.
Same cluster with a finger for scale and for pointing at the connector that was loose when I found it.
Rubber-isolated mount for the box on the downtube. The bolt goes through a rubber grommet, not straight into the frame.
Horn bracket bolted to the lower triple clamp, connectors behind it. Green and orange wires.
Closer on the horn connector and the wire bundle it sits in.
Horn from the front, two spade terminals on top, before it came off.
Left front turn signal on its rubber stalk, mounted to the headlight stay. Lens is sun-faded but not cracked.
Right front turn signal, same mount, with the cable bundle running past it.
Right signal from the rider's side showing how the stalk bolts to the stay and where the wire enters.
Warning light pod and its rubber bracket, lifted off the top triple clamp. The white connector below it is the main junction behind the headlight.
Pod bracket and the connector from above. Two bolts hold the bracket; the connector just clips into the headlight shell.
The big white multi-pin connector block, as found. Dust, corrosion on the pins, and a pink and green wire pair going in the side.
Connector block from the other side. The orange, cream and green wires are the ones to note before unplugging.
Connector block in its cradle, looking down past the fork. The ignition switch is at top left.
Someone before me drew an arrow on it in marker. I don't know why. If you do, email me.
Same arrow, same connector, from the side. Pins are green with corrosion.
Connectors at the steering head: green six-pin (left) and the cream block (right) with the orange wire bundle. The bracket below is where the headlight shell bolts on.
Under the seat, left side: the CDI box and regulator on their rubber mounts, harness along the frame rail.
Battery box from above, battery removed. Wiring to the right, the airbox snorkel behind.
Looking down the backbone from the steering head. Harness and the airbox inlet. The gap in the middle is where the tank's rear mount sits.
Under the seat, left side, as found. Regulator and CDI mounted to the frame, with a previous owner's wiring and tape in evidence.

During

Headlight stay with the horn and its wiring, after the fender came off. Blue tape labels on the connectors.
Whole front end wiring bundle with the big white connector block (the one with the arrow) on the left.
Horn and its bracket off the bike.
Horn from behind, with the green ground wire and ring terminal unbolted. The perforated disc is the horn body.
Left signal off and on the mat. Lens, body, the rubber stalk with its wire, and the mounting hardware.
Same, with the rubber grommet and the two mounting screws laid out.
Signal from the back showing the stalk base and the wire exit.
The stalk apart: rubber-covered arm, the metal bushing it pivots on, and the shoulder bolt. The rubber is cracked where it flexes.
Stalk, bushing and bolt. The bushing was the hard part to get out.
Stalk from the other side. The rubber is still bonded to the metal core, which is more than I expected.
Front end from the right with the headlight off. Harness bundle hanging where the shell used to be.
