Before

Headlight bracket off the bike, rusty and bent at the lower ear.
Other side of the bracket. The clips that hold the harness are still there.
As purchased, right side. Rear rack, XL seat, the original graphics still on the tank. It looked better from here than it did up close.

During

Wider from the left. Bike on the lift, most of the front end bare.
Front fender off. Bracket still attached, showing the four bolt holes that go to the lower triple clamp.
Fender from the top. Faded but straight, no cracks at the mounts.
Rear rack in the vise for rust removal. Rotary tool and sanding pads.
Wider, same angle. Front end mostly bare. Garage mates in the background.
And from straight on. The headlight stay with nothing on it.
End of the day: bike on the lift, front end mostly bare, next to its garage mates.
Tank and seat off, left side. First clear look at the backbone, the airbox and where the harness runs.

After

Straightened and wire-brushed, next to manual page 18-5 (Switches/Horn/Lights). A wooden mallet does less damage than a steel one.
